This was my first tatoo and the owner, Shavon, was almost as excited as I was about getting the tattoo. I got a wrist tattoo that she and my husband designed together. She was very perticular about getting everything sized up just right and helped me choose colors. Eventhough it stung it turned out beautiful. The studio was very inviting, clean and the other employees were very professional as well. My older son came with me and played video games she had set up there. Highly recommended!

Pros: plently of parking, great atmosphere

Sound bad?? It's not! This is the ONE AND ONLY place to get your tattoo in Columbia. 4Real...! Alex ROCKS!! They did what everyone else told me couldn't be done, and for less $$$. Thanks Alex!! My husband wanted this tattoo so bad, he went to several different places and no one said they could do it. So he took it to the Purple Lotus and Alex said he would love to do it. The tattoo turned out extremely awesome! You feel like family when you leave. They take great care of you and I don't think you could ever have a bad experience there. I had a tattoo on my foot that I was very unhappy with. So Shavon took her time and drew something very elegant and totally me.I never take time out to write these reviews, but that just shows you how great this place was on cleanliness and customer service. Great people and great place! Thanks Shavon and Alex! By the way , the homemade bread was out of this world!!!! We look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks!

Pros: Caring, clean, friendly, great artist, pleanty of parking, They definitely are custom tattoo artist they don't have flip boards for you to go through-this shows you how good they really are.

Cons: Maybe need a little more seating and you definitely need to know what you want before you go in there.

I have to say the Purple Lotus is not just your average tattoo shop, instead it really is a "Body Art Boutique". I walked out of there today with the most beautiful dragonfly on my hip. It really is an amazing work of art that Shavon did for me. I can't wait to show it off! Though it was my fourth, sadly it was only my first from Shavon. But I will be back to get her to fix my others in the very near future. The Purple Lotus is very cool, comfortable and clean. Everybody there is super nice and all have a great sense of humor. Shavon is truly an amazing artist and just a very cool person. I highly recommend the Purple Lotus to anyone who wants a quality work on art on their body. Thanks Shavon!!!

Shavon and the staff at purple lotus are by far the only place in Columbia to go for a masterpiece on skin. They are the only custom shop in town. Shavons 17+ years as a professionally train artist really shines through in her work. You should check out her website at purplelotusbodyart. And check out her customer rating on yellowpages.

I went and got a tattoo there. You walk in, take your shoes off and sit in the foyer. It is VERY clean and comfortable there. Everyone is happy and Shavon listens to you, draws it up and POOF! You love it. I went in there knowing that I wanted something beachy maybe with shells. Shavon drew up this outstanding beachy seashells with water and sand. I LOVE MY TATTOO. This shop is not like the others. There is nothing to choose from off the wall, there is no smoking, no nasty tattoo shop here. This is an elegant, high class shop.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, fun place to be you dont want to leave, prices are a steal

Cons: Cant think of a thing
